Material

Cotton: Made of 2x2 ply mercerized (shiny thread) cotton and finished with cotton duck heading and solid brass grommets*. Great for traditionalists, but not recommended for long-term outdoor use.

Nylon: Made of 200 denier weather treated nylon and finished with cotton duck heading and solid brass grommets*. Our most versatile material; nylon is lightweight and quick drying. It flies in the slightest breeze and performs well in rainy climates. This is the most common material used in our outdoor flags.

2-Ply Polyester: Made from 100% spun 2-ply weather treated polyester and finished with cotton duck heading and solid brass grommets*. 2-Ply Polyester is a tough material that has the look and feel of cotton, not the brilliant color or shine of nylon. The open weave reduces fabric stress in high wind areas, but the fabric is much heavier than nylon so it is slower to dry and not recommended for rainy climates. This flag performs best in dry windy areas.

Lightweight Polyester: This material is a soft, silky 150 denier polyester finished with a polyester heading and lightweight brass grommets. The material looks great, very similar to a dyed nylon in appearance, and is a great value. All our lightweight polyester flags are screen-printed and not weather treated. For this reason they are recommended for indoor use or very occasional outdoor use. *brass grommets are used on flags up to 6'x10. 8'x12' and larger use roped heading
